The room, while distinctly average in size, offered a amazing view of the city that made each morning special. It had all the essentials we needed, although accommodating our two suitcases was a bit of a struggle due to the limited space.
A minor drawback was the inadequacy of the bathroom amenities;

Everything was good, including welcoming staff and unbelievable location in a nice neighbourhood. Liked staying at the immaculate and elegant superior queen room with excellent views over the surrounding countryside. Location: the hotel was adjacent to the city centre and the restaurant and Nottingham.

The warmth of the staff, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were simple and very well appointed as were the common parts of the hotel, uncluttered and elegant.
Parking wasnt the easiest!

Excellent service from attentive and friendly staff.
I felt for the price room was a little on the small side, especially as we received a complimentary upgrade to a larger room. Also, drinks in the bar were very expensive (although probably not in relation to other hotels of this nature) and excluded draught lagers and beer.

The breakfast was a total letdown-grossly overpriced and poorly presented. The scrambled eggs were so watery, and the sausages were tough. Plus, I had to ask about the fried eggs! We ended up skipping breakfast and eating elsewhere.

It was a Hotel - I struggle with hotels to see what the fuss is about.This was basically a Room (fashionably decorated and a big TV and a view over the Trent Valley Commercial Estate) and a Bar. Not much else to it. And they charge a lot for a pretty meagre breakfast choice.
Essentially I can't think that paying almost 3 times more than other city centre hotels justified itself. I thinks it's all hype.

Very well located. Just round the corner from Nottingham Castle, so great for site seeing, and just a 5 minutes stroll from city centre shopping and restaurants. Despite its centrality, the hotel was very, very quiet. No noise from the busy city centre itself and no through traffic. Superb restaurant, fine dining and great atmosphere.
The hotel car park was a bit small. On Saturday night there were not enough spaces for all guests. We popped out at 6 pm to pick up our daughter from university and promptly lost our parking spot! However, this happened only once and there was a wedding reception going on at the time.

The bed was extremely comfortable, the best I have slept in. Delicious sausages for breakfast!

The staff were very helpful and efficient. They were friendly without being gushing. I can't stand hanging around when wanting to check out but the reception staff were very efficient.
The bathroom door did not close properly in room 7.

G/F room opening on to garden terrace was particularly nice, the room facilities were good, the "midnight snack" service excellent and not having to book out until Midday much appreciated.
Walls a bit thin.

We loved the fact that this hotel was off the beaten path and in a very quiet location. The room was spotless, and the chrome in the bathroom was fingerprint free and spotless. I needed an iron, and asked if i could have the use of one. Within 10mins the receptionist herself was at my door with iron and ironing board. I was very impressed! My boyfriend and I were dining out and being new to the city didnt know where the resturant was. Again the receptionist was spot on and arrived at my door with a map and directions. Front staff can make or break a business, and the girl who was on duty when I arrived should be given a pat on the back. She was great!!! We would have no hesitation in staying here again in the future.
No complaints whatsoever!!
